Defund Obamacare – It’s that simple

The RINO’s are on the loose. Chris Christie and Karl Rove have lost their respective minds. Both are picking fights with the GOP base to defend core Liberal issues like Immigration reform and the NSA.

The RINO’s are also getting worried about losing a budget showdown with Obama over Obamacare. It’s this simple folks. Defund it now, or live with it. Obama has abuse Presidential power like non before him, a majority of this country wants the law stricken from the books and the GOP still can’t find it’s spine.

Ted Cruz offers some advice:

If we can get 41 Republicans in the Senate to stand together, or if we can get 218 Republicans in the House to stand together, we can win this fight,” he claimed. “The dirty little secret is an awful lot of Republicans are terrified of this fight. They’re very, very happy to cast symbolic votes against Obamacare so they can go to their constituents and point to how terribly, terribly opposed to Obamacare they are.”

“But this fight scares them because they believe Republicans will be blamed politically for shutting down the government,” Cruz explained.

As for how to approach defunding Obamacare, Cruz agreed with the approach Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) proposed in a recent interview with Breitbart News. Cruz said, “Here’s how I think we should proceed: I think the House should pass a Continuing Resolution that funds the federal government in its entirety except for Obamacare and that explicitly prohibits spending any federal money on Obamacare.”

“What will happen next, we know very well because we’ve seen this play out before, President Obama and Harry Reid will scream and yell that ‘the mean, nasty Republicans are threatening to shut down the government over Obamacare,'” Cruz predicted.

“At that point, Republicans have to stand up and fight and make the argument and say ‘no, we have voted to fully fund the government, every bit of the government, why is it that President Obama is threatening to shut down the government in order to force Obamacare down our throats? He’s already granted a waiver for big corporations, why does President Obama want to shut down the government to force the same burdens on hardworking American families that he’s willing to exempt big corporations from?'” he explained.

Obama Loves Big Government – Doesn’t Understand the Economy

He is an idiot, a radical and sadly our President.

First there was this gem:

In Chattanooga on Tuesday, the latest stop on his economic inequality tour, President Obama made himself an offer he couldn’t refuse. If Congressional Republicans agree to a corporate tax increase, he said, then he’ll agree to spend more money on his favorite public-works projects. If Republicans bargain hard, will he also offer an expansion of ObamaCare as a sweetener?

We know this sounds like an exaggeration, but that’s the essence of what the President proposed as what he called a new “grand bargain.” Mr. Obama will agree to reform the corporate tax code—a GOP priority and one even the President claims to support—but only if the reform raises more revenue and only if he is allowed to spend that windfall on his priorities.

This isn’t a serious offer. In fact, during his ‘speach’ he demonized anyone who would dare oppose such generous offer. This offer was nothing more than a populist soundbite for the uneducated voter. At the same time, he was flipping off the GOP. Then, there was this one:

President Barack Obama said Tuesday that the U.S. economy would be “much better off” if federal, state, and local governments hired more workers.

As cities like Chicago face budget crises from unfunded pensions for retiring public workers and cities as large as Detroit have declared bankruptcy, Obama suggested these governments should spend more taxpayer money to improve the national unemployment rate

Well, additional union jobs might help Democrats get elected, but taking more money from the Private sector and dumping it into bloated union salaries and pension plans won’t help the economy. It hurts the economy.

Britt Hume said it right the other day – Obama would rather have us all equally poor versus us all unequally rich. That’s not entirely true. He and the ruling class would remain above the fray while we eat cake.

This Week in Obamacare

Let’s recap shall we:

The Obamacare call center is hiring part time workers to avoid offering healthcare to them

The Treasury Union (those nice folks at the IRS) are trying to be exempt from Obamacare. The people in charge of ENFORCING Obamacrap are lobbying Congress to be above the law. They apparently don’t see the irony.

Detriot – Detroit is looking to drop coverage for large portions of retired (and likely) current public employees to dump them into Obamacare exchagnes. A federal bailout by any other name.

9/11 Museum Director Tried to Cut Firefighter Photo: Too ‘Rah-Rah American’

As I’ve said many times… it’s patently obvious that liberals are self loathing people who by definition hate the USA.…o-firefighters

According to Elizabeth Greenspan, author of the up coming book Battle for Ground Zero (St. Martin’s Press), Michael Shulan, creative director of the 9/11 Memorial Museum, thought about cutting the famed photo from Ground Zero of three firefighters raising the American flag amidst the rubble of the World Trade Center…because he thought it was too “rah-rah America.” Shulan said, “I really believe that the way America will look best, the way we can really do best, is to not be Americans so vigilantly and so vehemently.”

Obamacare Call Center Will Not Offer Health-Care Benefits to Employees…

You just can’t make this stuff up…  Every single week we are going to have more and more of this.  At what point do we as a Country say “OK… this law is crap and has to go”?

In order to ensure Americans understand how to access the benefits available to them when many provisions of the Affordable Care Act go online October 1, the Obama administration announced last month that it is setting up a call center that will be accessible to Americans 24 hours a day.

One branch of that call center will be located in California’s Contra Costa County, where, reportedly, 7,000 people applied for the 204 jobs. According to the Contra Costa Times, however, “about half the jobs are part-time, with no health benefits — a stinging disappointment to workers and local politicians who believed the positions would be full-time.” The county supervisor, Karen Mitchoff, called the hiring process “a comedy of errors” and said she “never dreamed [the jobs] would be part-time.”

HHS Admits: You Might Not Be Able to Keep Your Doctor Under Obamacare

What a shocker… How can this be??  The Obama Junta said we could keep our doctor and our insurance??..

“Depending on the plan you choose in the Marketplace, you may be able to keep your current doctor.”  The bottom line is that Obamacare guarantees neither. Doctors may be only available through certain networks, just as in the current system.  And only plans that existed in their current form on March 23, 2010, are even eligible to be “kept.” The vast majority of plans will be new, subject to a raft of new regulations, requirements, and restrictions.

Now that Health and Human Services has confirmed that the suspicions of Obamacare opponents were justified, the Obama administration will have some explaining to do to friends and foes of the law alike. Because now everyone is finding out “what’s in it.”

House GOP Moves to Help Obama – Again

Leadership in the House is striking a populist message to attack Obama on Obamacare. It may even end up being effective. We may get a legal one year delay in Obamacare for both the corporate and individual mandates. Then what? Elections have consequences yet the GOP continues to try and help the Democrats avoid the consequences of Obamacare. Interesting counterpoint from Red State this morning: :

Hell no.

In fact, I am disappointed with John Boehner and the House GOP wanting to delay implementation of the individual mandate. I think Obamacare needs to go forward as designed by the Democrats. I think someone should sue the Obama Administration over delaying the employer mandate. It should happen on schedule.

Obamacare is a train wreck of epic proportions. It will ruin the economy, drive individuals into full time part time status as employees, harm small businesses, and make Americans more and more dependent on the federal government as slaves to the entitlement state while ballooning our national debt.

The American public voted for Barack Obama twice. They should be made to care about the policy choices they have enabled by having those policies go into effect exactly as the Democrats intended.

There can be no fixing. There can be no tweaking. There should be no delaying. There should only be defunding and repealing of the whole awful mess.

Republicans are under no obligation to mend what they were sent to Washington to end. Instead, let the American public see big government operate as Democrats designed it.
