Obama has no respect for you, for America or the office of the President. His constant attacks on classes of Americans, elected officials – playing to our worse fears and envy. It is shamefull. Please start holding him accountable. A reminder of what we SHOULD expect from our President
Ronald Reagan – 1992 GOP Convention:
My fellow citizens — those of you here in this hall and those of you at home — I want you to know that I have always had the highest respect for you, for your common sense and intelligence and for your decency. I have always believed in you and in what you could accomplish for yourselves and for others.
And whatever else history may say about me when I’m gone, I hope it will record that I appealed to your best hopes, not your worst fears, to your confidence rather than your doubts. My dream is that you will travel the road ahead with liberty’s lamp guiding your steps and opportunity’s arm steadying your way.
My fondest hope for each one of you — and especially for the young people here — is that you will love your country, not for her power or wealth, but for her selflessness and her idealism. May each of you have the heart to conceive, the understanding to direct, and the hand to execute works that will make the world a little better for your having been here.
May all of you as Americans never forget your heroic origins, never fail to seek divine guidance, and never lose your natural, God-given optimism.
And finally, my fellow Americans, may every dawn be a great new beginning for America and every evening bring us closer to that shining city upon a hill.
More sequester stats for you to debate your Democrat and other uniformed voting friends with…
Even after the sequestration reductions, the federal budget will actually be larger than it was last year. Let that one sink in. Only in Washington, D.C., would this be called a cut.
This administration has an insatiable appetite for higher taxes and government growth. There has been over $600 billion in new spending and nearly $6 trillion in new debt under this president. Last month, he approved over $600 billion in new taxes that will affect nearly every American. Now he wants more money out of our paychecks.
It’s the latest example of why the Obama years will be remembered as the Era of Government Greed. There isn’t a problem President Obama thinks can’t be solved by more taxes and more spending. His solution is always to take more money out of the American economy and put it into the government.
Question – what do you get after 4 years of increased regulation, hostility towards business and the promise of massive tax cuts on small business, the middle class and economic producers? Answer – 0.1% economic growth. Mark Zandi, Obama’s mouthpiece economist, believes economic growth in the US will surge to 4% in 2014. All evidence to the contrary. And the explanation about ‘gov’t’ spending dropping as a reason for economic decline is a joke. Two points there. First, Obama pumped untold billions into the economy (it’s nice to not have a budget or be held accountable by the press) leading up to the election. He bought your vote. Second, why the hell is the economy still that fragile 4 years after the recession ended? Why is our growth tied to variable measures instead of true efficiency gains and underlying business growth? See the first line of this post for your answer.
And don’t let Obama tell you $85B in cuts (only $44B this year) will have any meaningful impact on the economy this year. Government will spend more this year versus last and the planes flew, military funded, food inspected and children were educated when their teachers weren’t too busy protesting.
WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) – The U.S. economy grew in the fourth quarter – but just barely – instead of contracting for the first time in three and a half years, the Commerce Department said Thursday.
Governor Christie announced he would be setting up Obamacare exchanges in New Jersey. A pork laden relief bill and a photo op for President Obama the week before the election weren’t enough. Let me announce I will not support Mr. Christie in any national election. Apparently, I’m not alone…
On Tuesday evening, American Conservative Union chair Al Cardenas discussed the reasons New Jersey Governor Chris Christie was not invited to address CPAC 2013 with National Journal:
Cardenas, whose group organizes the conference, wrote in an e-mail to National Journal that while CPAC was “proud” to invite Christie last year based on his record of balancing the budget and taking on teachers unions, Christie’s record over the past year is far less conservative.
“CPAC is like the all-star game for professional athletes; you get invited when you have had an outstanding year,” Cardenas said. “Hopefully he will have another all-star year in the future, at which time we will be happy to extend an invitation. This is a conservative conference, not a Republican Party event.”
Cardenas cited Christie’s decision to expand Medicaid under President Obama’s health care law and his support of a $60 billion aid package for Hurricane Sandy victims, which he argued was filled with wasteful spending…
… There could be such value in Chris Christie’s remarks too, of course, but it’s a judgment call, and too many of his breaks with conservatism have come so quickly of late. And there’s the question of future influence… which Christie might have in greater abundance than Romney at the moment, and that’s the problem. The nation has been dragged dangerously, maybe even suicidally to the Left. There are some who believe the conservative movement should shift its center of gravity leftward in accommodation. I think that would be a fatal mistake for both conservatism and America. At this particular moment, the Christie actions cited by Cardenas – Medicaid expansion, the slash-and-burn defense of Hurricane Sandy pork, the eleventh-hour embrace of Obama during the election – are not what the CPAC audience wants to rally around.
A quick link from Breitbart. Great read, but the title says it all.
Please file under – I told you so
Obamacare will increase the long-term federal deficit by $6.2 trillion, according to a Government Accountability Office (GAO) report released today.
Senator Jeff Sessions (R., Ala.), who requested the report, revealed the findings this morning at a Senate Budget Committee hearing. The report, he said, “confirms everything critics and Republicans were saying about the faults of this bill,” and “dramatically proves that the promises made assuring the nation that the largest new entitlement program in history would not add one dime to the deficit were false.”
President Obama and other Democrats attempted to win support for the health-care bill by touting it as a fiscally responsible enterprise. “I will not sign a plan that adds one dime to our deficits — either now or in the future,” Obama told a joint-session of Congress in September 2009. “I will not sign it if it adds one dime to the deficit, now or in the future, period.”
The new report exposes the “lack of honesty” surrounding such claims, Sessions argued. “This is how a country goes broke,” he said
Balanced Approach? The only thing Obama wants to balance is income via redistribution of wealth programs
Obamacare. Minimum wage increases. Tax increases. Loopholes. Head start programs. No matter how he disguises it, the goal is the same. Wealth Redistribution.
It is like nails on a chalk board every time he says the words “Balanced” or “Fairness”. He couldn’t care less about either. No, his Marxist agenda is very transparent. Income equality – well almost. In any Marxist society there needs to be a ruling elite that lives above the masses and has access to the perks of the gentry.
So instead of actually balancing out recent tax increases with spending cuts, Obama seeks more tax increases. Here is the best part: Guess whose salary is protected from sequester cuts. Ding, Ding, Ding, that’s right OBAMA’s!!! All of this shared sacrifice really is just you sharing the sacrifice. He is off to another tax payer funded vacation.
This chart is blindingly clear. Spending continues to rise. Taxes continue to rise. Deficits continue to rise. Our Debt continues to rise. Period.
From 2009 to 2012, revenues increased by more than 17 percent. Nor were these increased revenues due to “higher tax rates,” as the president claims, but to lower tax rates: This revenue growth occurred during the era of the much-maligned Bush tax cuts.
If this 17 percent revenue growth had been matched in a “balanced mix” including “spending cuts,” as Obama claims, spending during this period would have decreased by roughly 17 percent as well. Instead, spending increased nearly 8 percent. Far from “spending cuts,” as the president claims, this was a spending increase.
If there had actually been a “balanced mix” in which the increased revenues were matched by “spending cuts” (rather than a spending hike), as Obama claims, the deficit would have been reduced by more than 30 percent – 10 times the actual decrease.
What has gone up faster? Your Income or Your Income Taxes?
Has your budget gone up 17% since 2009?
Who is in a better position to cut 2% from their budget – You or the Government?
Wake up before it is too late. Look to Europe. A government that robs Peter to pay Paul can always count on Paul’s vote. When Paul exceeds 50% – you can never vote to stop paying Paul. The problem, Peter runs out of money and you have riots in Greece and Italy. This isn’t a theory. It is cold hard economic fact.
