Obama refuses to negotiate with GOP over debt ceiling. Probably a good idea because he doesn’t even understand the issue.

They will not collect a ransom in exchange for not crashing the economy. The full faith and credit of the United States of America is not a bargaining chip. And they better decide quickly because time is running short. – Obama

This is sheer political thuggery. The only person who demands a ransom here is Obama – he demands an increase in the debt ceiling, lest he allow America to default on her debts rather than cutting elsewhere. It is Obama who uses the debt ceiling as a bargaining chip to force Congress to continue to greenlight his shopaholic governance.

Obama’s other great line is “you can’t go to a restaurant and not pay your bill”.  You’re right Barry, you can’t.  Unfortunately that’s not the right analogy.  We have plenty of money to pay our bills.  PLENTY.

Our national Debt interest is $220B a year.  Barry and his IRS thugs collect over $2.5T in taxes a year (oh, and those just went UP),  so we can make the minimum payments on our debt.  What really happens if we don’t let Barry raise the debt limit – HE CAN’T BORROW ANY MORE MONEY.  This is the real issue.  The Government would need to find a way to live with spending only $2.5T – Immediate $1.2T ANNUAL expense cut.  Get it now?  But you won’t get honesty from this White House.

That is the part that drives me most crazy about Obama.  He is a lying dirt bag.  Community organizer stirring up fear and anger.  Not looking for solutions.  $16.4T in debt, he wants to take on more and is lying about why.  The Senate hasn’t produced a budget in almost 4 years so we have no idea where the money is going.

So the better analogy is – We will  go ahead and pay that restaurant bills we incurred but we aren’t about to let you continue to let you charge 3 meals a day, 7 days a week to a maxed out credit card.  That’s not up for negotiation.
