Open Mic catches reporters coordinating questions to keep Romney on defensive – protect Obama
Where does it end. Just when I think I couldn’t be more disgusted with the days events… Today, reporters let Obama walk out of the Rose Garden without answering questions. He threw them a false narrative about the days events (disturbing pictures on the web tell quite a different story Barry), they eat it up and then get caught on an open mic coordinating against Romney at his presser. Then, their reporting of the events focus on how Romney criticized the President on 9/11. Not the attacks themselves. The United States was attacked yesterday. Full Stop. These attacks were a DIRECT result of Obama’s policies in the Middle East. Morsi is in power because of Obama. Full Stop. 4 Americans are dead from an organized attack on US embassies . Full Stop. The Main Stream Media goes out of its way to protect Obama. Obama / Biden have been spiking the Bin Laden football all month – did the media report the mob attacking our embassy chanted “Obama, Obama, Osama”? Full stop.
As Joel Pollak of Breitbart observed, “Their goal was to make sure that no question would address the substance of the crisis but instead put Romney on the defensive about made-up mistakes in his criticism of President Obama.” (Full link below) Later NBC’s David Gregory Tweets: Romney appears to have launched a political attack even before facts of embassy violence were known. Then uses day to issue vague FP vision
Two things David – First, nice non-biased tweet you twit. Second, his criticism of Obama was completely justified at the time. The violence only got worse. The administration when it wasn’t apologizing via State Department tweets was silent.
Again, I feel like I am in an alternate reality today. But this is really happening.
Before Romney issued his statement today, an open mic capture the press coordinating questions to ask Romney, with one saying “no matter who he calls on we’re covered on the one question”. I’ve transcribed it to the best of my ability but the audio is below for verification:
I’ve labeled one as the CBS News reporter as I believe it is Nancy Cordes who works for CBS News. If I’ve gotten that wrong I apologize and will correct.
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: …pointing out that the Republicans… *unintelligible* …Obama….
CBS REPORTER: That’s the question.
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: *unintelligible*
CBS REPORTER: Yeah that’s the question. I would just say do you regret your question.
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: Your question? Your statement?
CBS REPORTER: I mean your statement. Not even the tone, because then he can go off on…
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: And then if he does, if we can just follow up and say ‘but this morning your answer is continuing to sound…’ – *becomes unintelligble*
CBS REPORTER: You can’t say that..
CBS REPORTER: I’m just trying to make sure that we’re just talking about, no matter who he calls on we’re covered on the one question.
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: Do you stand by your statement or regret your statement?
