This is a perfect example of fairness versus opportunity. In the land of Obama, fairness means redistributing after the game has been played. Romney in contrast believes in trying to ensure everyone has an equal opportunity to succeed. Here is a real life example of Nobama’s fairness at play in the Olympics. After the end of the qualifying round, the top 24 women gymnasts get to compete for the Gold Medal. American gymnast, reigning World Champion and medal favorite Jordyn Wiber finished 4th after the prelims.
In a capitalist economy she would be headed to the finals with an equal opportunity to wind the gold medal. But wait – Diversity and Fairness haven’t had their say yet. The Olympic rules state that only TWO members from any one country can go to the finals. Jordyn’s teammates finished 2nd and 3rd overall. So the gymnast that finished 25th, yes 25th will get to compete in the finals while the 4th place finisher (and World Champion) will be excluded because of Fairness.
This is Nobama’s vision for our economy. Your work, your effort, your sacrifice are his to redistribute in the name of fairness. Forget everyone had an equal opportunity to perform. Nope, not good enough.
Remember, you didn’t build that.
This stagnation will be the end of the Obama junta. As I’ve said many times, the money on the sidelines is simply not going to move into play with this regime in power. And so… the economy will continue to sputter… and the debt will increase..
The U.S. economy grew at an annual rate of just 1.5 percent from April through June, as Americans cut back sharply on spending. The slowdown in growth adds to worries that the economy could be stalling three years after the recession ended. The Commerce Department also said Friday that the economy grew a little better than previously thought in the January-March quarter. It raised its estimate to a 2 percent rate, up from 1.9 percent.
Growth at or below 2 percent isn’t enough to lower the unemployment rate, which was 8.2 percent last month. And most economists don’t expect growth to pick up much in the second half of the year. Europe’s financial crisis and a looming budget crisis in the U.S. are expected to slow business investment further. But few think the Fed, the White House or Congress can or will do anything soon that might rejuvenate the economy quickly. Many lawmakers, for example, refuse to increase federal spending in light of historically large budget deficits.
The 1.5 percent growth rate in the second quarter was the weakest since the economy, as measured by the gross domestic product, expanded at a 1.3 percent rate in the July-September quarter last year. GDP measures the country’s total output of goods and services, from the purchase of a cup of coffee to the sale of fighter jets.
Growth was weaker mostly because consumer spending slowed to a growth rate of just 1.5 percent. That’s down from 2.4 percent in the first quarter. Americans bought fewer autos, computers and other long-lasting manufactured goods. Spending on services increased. But threats to the U.S. economy have left consumers too anxious to spend freely. Jobs are tight. Pay isn’t keeping up with inflation. Retail sales fell in June for a third straight month. Manufacturing has weakened in most areas of the country. Fear is also growing that the economy will fall off a “fiscal cliff” at year’s end. That’s when tax increases and deep spending cuts will take effect unless Congress reaches a budget agreement.
All that is making companies reluctant to expand and hire much.
The entire thing is classic, just a sample,
1 In the beginning Govt created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the economy was formless and void, darkness was over the surface of the ATMs, and the Spirit of Govt was hovering over the land.
3 And Govt said, “Let there be spending,” and there was spending. 4 Govt saw that the spending was good, and that it separated the light from the darkness. 5 Govt called the spending Investments, and this he did in the first day.
6 Then Govt said, “Let there be roads and bridges across the waters, and let dams divide the waters from the waters.” 7 Thus Govt made the infrastructure and the patronage jobs for eternity under the firmament from the Potomac which was above the firmament; and it was so. 8 And Govt called the firmament Washington. This Govt did on the second day.
9 Then Govt said, “Let the regulations and the guidlines under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the Bureaus appear”; and it was so. 10 And Govt called the Bureaus demigovts, and the gathering together of them He called AFSCME. And Govt saw that it was good.
Obama our fearless Marxist slipped up and said what he truly believes…
“If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen. The Internet didn’t get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make money off the Internet.”
His core message, combined with other red-light indicators of a radically leftist political philosophy which includes wealth redistribution, is the message of the almighty and sovereign State:
“We own you.”
Without the State, you are nothing. All your abilities, your intellect, your individuality, your work, your dreams, and the fruits of your labor would never happen without the federal government. Where would you be without us? We allowed you, along with the rest of the amorphous and indistinguishable masses constituting the collective, to thrive.
You owe everything to the State.
How can a country that elected Ronald Reagan have Obama tied in the polls with Mitt Romney? The answer is: It’s not the same country. The same process that has already destroyed California is working its way through the entire country. While conservatives have been formulating carefully constructed arguments, liberals have been playing a long-term game to change the demographics of America to get an electorate more to their liking.
Since 1965, instead of taking immigrants that replicate the country’s existing ethnic mix, we’ve been admitting mostly immigrants from the Third World. At the same time, people from the countries that sent immigrants to this country for its first several centuries have been barred.
Eighty-five percent of immigrants now come from “developing countries.” (How are they ever going to develop if their people are all on the dole over here?) The “browning of America” is not a natural process. It’s been artificially imposed by Democrats who are confident of their abilities to turn Third World immigrants into government patrons.
It’s worked. According to the Center for Immigration Studies, 57 percent of all immigrant households in the U.S. get cash, Medicaid, housing or food benefits from the government — compared with 39 percent of native households. The highest rates are for immigrants from the Dominican Republic (82 percent), Mexico and Guatemala (tied at 75 percent).
According to recent polls, Obama has a negative job approval rating of 45 to 49 percent. The reason the polls are tied between Obama and Romney is that single women support Obama by a 2-to-1 margin. The Democrats’ siren song to single women is: Don’t worry, the government will be your husband.
Our prisons are overflowing with the results of the Democrats’ experiment of subsidizing illegitimacy. Children raised by a single mothers commit 72 percent of juvenile murders, 60 percent of rapes, have 70 percent of teenaged births, commit 70 percent of suicides and are 70 percent of high school dropouts. Controlling for socioeconomic status, race and place of residence, the strongest predictor of whether a person will end up in prison is being raised by a single parent. (The second strongest predictor is having a tattoo.) A 1990 study by the Progressive Policy Institute showed that after controlling for single motherhood, the difference in black and white crime disappeared.
My heart aches for those impacted by this tragedy. I pray they find peace and that no one else need suffer like this again. Sadly, i fear that isn’t probable. I also hope we as a society can focus on the victims, their families and their needs and not on the mass murdering piece of crap that did this to them.
I don’t want to see the word “alleged” in front of his name. He is a murderer. I don’t want to see his picture. I don’t care where he lived or how. The media need not paint his life story. Do not make him a celebrity. Just bring him to justice, swiftly.
